Submission Requirements

Artist(s) must be a resident of Chicago or the surrounding community.

Artist(s) must demonstrate a professional commitment to artmaking.

Mural content and design are subject to the approval of the Bloomingdale Mural Committee.

Mural must not represent any religious, racial, or political point of view.

Mural may not contain copyrighted material or nudity.

Mural may not be executed with spray paint.

Mural may replicate existing painting or design.

Mural must be completed within the agreed upon time frame.

Disclaimer

The Bloomingdale Mural Project Committee is a community group with the objective of beautifying the West Bucktown neighborhood by creating a public gallery featuring local artists.

The Bloomingdale Mural Project makes no promise of preservation or longevity of project murals.

The Bloomingdale Mural Project Committee reserves the right to terminate selected projects at any time if the work fails to meet the goals and requirements of the Bloomingdale Mural Project, which may be subject to change without notice.

In exchange for the use of donated materials and venue, if selected, each artist, along with assistants or other contributors, will complete the proposed work within the required timeframe.

The Bloomingdale Mural Project shall have full rights to use the artist's name(s) and to use and reproduce images of submissions and completed works.

By checking the box below, you agree to the above terms and do hereby waive, release, and forever discharge the Bloomingdale Mural Committee, Ward 1 officials, their officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for costs, expenses, damages to personal property or personal injury related to your submission to or participation in the Bloomingdale Mural Project.
